Four teams scored over 100 points this week, and by the luck of matchups, none faced each other. Adding those four makes it 22 times teams have crossed into triple digits this season, with only two of those resulting in a loss. So far this season, scoring over 100 has a 90.9% win rate, which is above the historic average of 86.9% win rate. The highest win percentage we’ve ever seen was 100% in 2008, when teams went 18-for-18 on winning with a score >100. The worst season was 2018 where only 77.1% of 100-point scorers won (37-for-48). Coincidentally, the 48 teams scoring over 100 points that season was the most in any season so far. We are currently on pace to beat that record this year, as we are currently averaging just over 3 teams per week scoring over 100, and we have an extra week added to the season. This puts us on pace to have 53 teams score over 100 points this year.
Speaking of scoring, the big congrats this week stay with yours truly for a second week in a row, as my Scottish Rebels found a way to finish on top of the heap again this week! Truly some magical waiver wire work, as I picked up the Denver Defense and kicker Austin Seibert who combined to score 40 points! Also contributing big were Derrick Henry (26 points), Josh Allen (20 points) and Tee Higgins (14 points), leading my Rebels to a 125-64 victory over J LUV. The win moves my record to 5-2 and on top of the North division.
In other league happenings, American BadAss won again to keep hold of the best record in the league at 6-1, and Joes’ No Pats pulled out a come from behind victory over Luck of the Irish to snag a second victory this season. The divisions are tied on total wins (17 each) and the South division leads in points scored (3,073 to 2,986). There are still 7 more weeks until the playoffs start, so still a lot can change.

-Minnesota was the 19th ranked defense last season, Denver was 13th, Green Bay was 15th, Buffalo was 6th and Pittsburgh was 11th. Last season’s top defense, Baltimore, currently ranks 20th and Dallas, who was ranked 2nd last year, currently ranks 25th. It's the ol' flipparoo.

BEST BENCH(ES)
The Best Bench in Week 6 was remarkable for a couple
reasons. First off, everyone did a
marvelous job managing their teams as seven teams had improvement possibilities
of 6 points or less, and the Best Bench winner had a season-low improvement-possibility of
just 19 points! Secondly, prior to this
season going back to 2007 (17 years of data) there had only been 10 occurrences
of the highest scoring team also being the Best Bench. Now this season, in just SIX weeks it has
happened 3 times, as my Scottish Rebels were the Best Bench for Week 6! I needed just 2 roster moves to get there: A.
Lazard for A. Pierce +17 and A. Mattison for C. Hubbard +2. This was my first Best Bench this season and
was my first since Week 2 of last year.
The Week 7 Best Bench was also remarkable because it
marked the 7th different team to get a Best Bench. Seven weeks and seven different Best Benches…wild! With just a 28-point-improvement-possibility,
the Week 7 Best Bench goes to… the Wyld Ass Monkeys! Rob also needed only two roster moves to get
there: R. White for T. Etienne Jr +23
and N. Chubb for D. Montgomery +5. This
was Rob’s first Best Bench this season and is his first since Week 17 last
season.
I don’t want to jinx anyone on the Best Bench, but Jens,
John and Joe… you guys are due!
Okay get those waiver claims in and get ready for Week
8! Midterm grades come out next week!
